Bir Drives Central Eurasia’s Digital Future as Key Sponsor of INMerge Innovation Summit 2025

The Bir ecosystem has successfully concluded its strategic sponsorship of the INMerge Innovation Summit 2025. Organized by PASHA Holding on September 29–30, 2025, the summit stands as one of the largest and most influential technology events in the region, uniting corporations, investors, and startups across Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The summit served as a critical platform to showcase the region's aggressive economic diversification and digital transformation. The opening ceremonies featured keynote addresses from key government figures, including Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy, and Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport.

Highlighting the scale of regional growth, Minister Jabbarov noted that technology and creativity are unlocking unprecedented development pathways. He emphasized a powerful macroeconomic indicator for global investors: over the past 20 years, of the more than $344 billion invested in Azerbaijan, over $210 billion has been strategically directed into the non-oil sector. Reinforcing this narrative, PASHA Holding CEO Jalal Gasimov highlighted the summit's strategic importance, cementing its status as the leading innovation forum in Central Eurasia.

Global Tech Integration and Scale

INMerge 2025 operated at an unprecedented scale, attracting over 5,000 attendees, 150 industry-leading speakers, 100 innovative startups, and more than 80 Venture Capital (VC) funds. The event effectively bridged local ecosystems with Silicon Valley and global academia, featuring panel discussions with tech titans such as Edwin Catmull (Founder of Pixar), Zack Kass (Former Head of Go-To-Market at OpenAI), and Tarun Khanna (Harvard Business School Professor).

Executive Thought Leadership: Shaping the Fintech Future

As a primary sponsor, the Bir ecosystem was heavily represented across the summit by its flagship brands: Birbank, Birmarket, m10, and Trendyol Azerbaijan. The ecosystem's leadership took center stage to deliver impactful insights on the future of corporate leadership and digital finance.

Farid Mammadov, CEO of the Bir ecosystem, delivered a compelling perspective during the panel titled, "From Transition to Transformation: Developing Leaders Who Build Institutions for Innovation and Growth." Addressing the complexities of modern leadership, he emphasized the absolute necessity of continuous learning. Tackling the philosophical business debate of whether "companies create leaders or leaders shape companies," Mammadov articulated that this relationship is a highly dynamic, two-way evolutionary process essential for sustainable corporate growth.

Farid Huseynov, CEO of Birbank, anchored the panel, "Beyond the bank: Growing a thriving fintech ecosystem." He shared a visionary roadmap for the sector, detailing the critical importance of digital transformation and outlining actionable strategies for cultivating a resilient, borderless fintech ecosystem that transcends traditional financial services.

By fostering knowledge exchange, facilitating high-level networking, and driving the discourse on digital transformation, the Bir ecosystem continues to position itself not just as a market participant, but as the foundational architect of the region's tech-driven economy.
